About the Role
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical skill instruction to the baseball team to aid in the skill development of student-athletes at practices.
Conduct individual training sessions with student-athletes geared at skill development.
Prepare and oversee the implementation of practice plans that will prepare the team physically and mentally for competition.
Prepare and oversee the planning and implementation of camps and clinics.
Monitor the academic, social, and personal development of baseball student-athletes.
Mentor the student-athletes through virtue development, including the promotion of the integration of the Catholic faith.
Ensure that NAIA and Sun Conference compliance is followed.
Ensure that recruiting goals are met regarding roster size, discount rate, and mission-fit culture.
Requirements

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree required
EXPERIENCE: One to three years of coaching experience, either in the private sector or at the college level.

Microsoft Office experience with Word, Outlook, Publisher, Excel, Power Point software. Must support the University’s Catholic mission.
PHYSICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Requires ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 - 20 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, type and perform data entry, visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information, ability to hear in order to answer telephones and to communicate verbally, and the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed indoors and outdoors with minimal safety hazards, and requires seated, standing, and movement work.
